Wow, thanks Kelle!! This is personal to share on this site, but I am a Woman and want others to know. One year ago, after breast feeding my daughter and had weened her for 1 year, I suddenly had a burning breast syndrome. I searched the internet, I went to my doctor. He prescribed antibiotics that made me sick (I am very sensitive to drugs and alergic to pennicillen). It persisted and wouldn't stop. It really was the sensation of itching and burning pain. The doctor was continually mistified. I kept going back for about 4 months. I insisted on a MRI or something better than a Mammogram. I ended up having an ultrasound that showed nothing there. I wonder if this would show on an ultrasound? It has been a year and I haven't had any symtoms since. But this makes me wonder if there isn't something more to it. Occasionally I still have the same sensation, but not as intense. I am grateful for this post, it has reminded me to follow up with my doctor, a year later, and possibly have another ultrasound. It bothered me that I had these intense symptoms and they treated me as if it was in my head. Doctors have a way of making you feel dumb, but I do know my body and felt that it just wasn't right. So thank you again!!! I will share this with every woman that I know in honor of you!
