I've been working on my company brand recently. I'm putting in place some new systems that will allow me to do more training online and I'm looking at the sales cycle. But most importantly, I'm looking at what I and my company stand for. What is it that we really offer? This is a brand image.
What is your brand image? Can people who come to your website tell what your brand image is? Do they know what you stand for? And is that any different than anyone else selling real estate? If the answer is "no" then you can expect that you'll have a lot of challenges in converting leads off of your website. People need to know who you are and what you're offering. That offer needs to be compelling. It needs to resonate with them. If you don't do these things then you're not connecting.
Many people worry about narrowing their focus too much and being too targeted in their marketing. Don't worry about that! It is important to target SOMEONE or else you're not targeting anyone. Take a stand! Make a point! State an opinion! You're guaranteed to connect with someone that way.
Take a look at your brand image today. See if, reading your website as though you were a prospect, you can tell what benefits you're offering, what you stand for and whether or not your site gives a prospect that warm and fuzzy feeling.
