Have you ever cosidered using Twitter as an information feed?
That's right, you can tweet links to the latest listings, information about the real estate industry and changes, special events, planned developments in your local area. In 140 characters, you can educate your community. And the best part is: this idea integrates with any blog you may have too. Which means, you can double your Google Juice with the same information.
Blog/Tweet Combo - The One-Two Punch of the Google Juice
So here's what I mean. Enter your blog post, then Tweet it to the world. You can do this manually if you have an Active Rain blog or other non-integrated service. Or you can set it up to be automatic if you have a WordPress blog by adding the Twitter Tools plugin to your blog. It will automatically tweet your stuff. So now you have the Google Juice from the blog and you have the extra traffic from the Tweets. How great is that?
Joining the Conversation
The best part is, that while you are putting out all of this great content, you're also in a position to get into conversation with people who are asking you questions about it. After all, you're the expert right?
That's your quick tip for the day!

Thank you Kelle, I have a twitter account that I have not used. I am going to work on that today.
I checked into it, and there was NO ONE from my area signed up on Twitter. Yes, there MIGHT be potential customers from else where on there, but we live in a small town, and many people don't even have computers.
You can Twitter directly from AR also! Go to your Settings page and scroll down to the Twitter section - put in your Twitter account info and you're done...it's as easy as that!
I am having my website redone in WordPress right now, so I will check out their Twitter feed...thanks for that tip!
Hi Kelly - yup we do this already. We get quite a bit of feedback from posting on twitter , fb etc. With no work - that part works for me.
Kelly - I have my Active Rain posts set up to automatically tweet. Now I just have to write more.
Dear Troy - I know what you mean about writing more - I've lost a couple of weeks already! Where did they go! I've been working so hard and not a single post to show for it! I'm going to take my own advice and do the best I can. I find that I work in sprints. I'll have 15 things to say one week and nothing to say in others. I'm trying to put aside some of the posts that I write during the flood times so that I can cover the droughts, but I'm just impatient and I don't wait well. Plus, some stuff it just timely and needs to be written now.
Anna, I know that that works - in fact, I jsut wrote a post about an agent who got a listing from posting to Facebook.
Christine - Good tip! Thanks!
Dear Prest Realty (would be really nice to know your name) - Twitter isn't for everyone but if there are people in your area, it can be useful - it can also be a tremendous waste of time. You have to be careful.
Emage' - How's it going? It's been a while since you posted this comment - do you have tweets going out yet?
Good info. You are encouraging me to go back (again) and try Twitter. Haven't used it in months now. Thanks
