Every wonder what you would make on writing a book? Well I thought it might be fun to share a little behind-the-scenes notes on the sales of my book. Now here's a bit of good news. My book is in it's THIRD PRINTING!!! Woo hoo!
So when I went to the mailbox I had hopes that I would finally have repaid the modest cash advance I received for writing the book and I might actually see some royalties after two years of sales. Well, I did. I saw that there was a check inside and I did a little dance. A check! Yes! A few hundred or maybe even a thousand dollars of play money! Woot! But then, I looked again. Alas, not yet. Here's what I found:

Ah well. It is a check. <SNORT, GIGGLE, WHEEZE> It's good to laugh at oneself every now and again. Looks like I'll wait another 6 months for that big payoff. Tee hee hee....

Your check reminds me of the time I got an article published in a magazine - it was a whopping $25!
What the hey - you are published! Congrats.
Yep! I took me three years to write Sell with Soul and I'm just now realizing what the hourly pay works out to be... Never ever write a book thinking it's your ticket to riches!!!
Congrats on the third printing!
Just the accomplishment of writing and getting a book published is cause for celebration, I can't imagine the time and effort involved. As for the money, maybe next week will have more digits. Good luck. :0)
