Every time I come back from a networking meeting (roughly 3-4 times a week), I scan in the cards. With a single entry, I can tag all the cards as coming from that meeting so I know where I met them and the pictures on the cards are saved as well so that I can remember what these people looked like/who they were (I'm very visual so seeing the card helps me). The scans are accurate about 90% of the time (100% accurate when the cards are easy to read and not printed in copier blue). I would never be able to keep up with these contacts without this scanner. I'd have to pay an assistant for an hour after each meeting to accomplish what the scanner does in just minutes. It's easily paid for itself many times over.
I even took it to a couple of conventions. It's so small and lightweight that carrying it was easy. During the downtimes at the booth, we scanned the cards of the people who had visited and emailed them that night thanking them for their visit and providing them with a coupon for their first online purchase. Talk about the ability to do quick response - we had over 500 cards. I would never have had the energy to do that work by hand.
The only downside is the software. I keep having challenges with how to export and with organizing my files, and it takes a while to get through to customer service so it takes me forever to find the time to sit on hold to get an answer. When I do call though, they always have an answer for me.
