I've recently learned about a website called Hubspot.com. They have an SEO Website grader. It tells you how many inbound links you have, how well your site is doing on SEO in relation to your targeted keywords, and how you're going overall. You get a grade from 0-100. (After four years of hard work, I was thrilled to learn that I've got a grade of 89 on my site.) It will even compare your site against your competitors if you ask it to.
Go to the website grader option and fill out the information. Click on the "get website grade" and fill in your email address. The grade comes up instantly. But here's the kicker. If you look after the bottom of the website grade page, there's a link for free information on how to improve your SEO on your site. All you have to do is identify yourself to these guys. Not too painful. I'm reading the whitepaper now. It's pretty basic stuff, but useful info nonetheless. If you've got a score of 50 or less, you'll probably make a LOT of good use out of it.
Enjoy!

I checked out hubspot.com and the first time I ran the report it said I had 1162 inbound links to my website. It also said that I didn't have an account with delicious or digg or zoominfo, and I do. So I ran the report again and this time it said I had 1144 inbound links. And that was only a matter of minutes later. In short, it's a cool tool, but I wouldn't rely on it 100% for accuracy.
Thanks for sharing though! I love this stuff!

Aloha Kelle,
Thank you Thank you Thank you! I'm struggling to improve my SEO and this helpful tidbit is what I need.
Peace,
Thanks for the introduction to the Hubspot tool. We will evaluate it and let you know what we think.
This is a pretty cool tool. Even if it may not be accurate it does provide a lot of helpful links for you to make sure you're listed in all the places that help your page rank.
Kelle - Thank you for the information. I am off to Hubspot to try out this tool.
I've run website grader off and on for about the last year on my site. It pays to go back becuase sometimes things go a little awry. I changed my wordpress theme and installed some widgets. I had thought I was changing my meta tags, but I wasn't because the SEO widget I was using had taken control. Good stuff!
